Our Cream of Tartar is a premium quality food-grade powder. Also known as Potassium Bitrate. It can be used in baking to add volume and stability to meringues and souffles, it will prevent whipped cream from destabilizing and add a creaminess to frostings. When making meringue a small amount speeds up the creation of foam and helps stabilize the structure, which in turn creates more volume.

It prevents sugar from crystallizing and acts as a leavening agent for baked goods. Used together with Sodium Bicarbonate it will produce a baking powder. A pinch of Cream of Tartar added to your water when boiling vegetables will help them to retain their fresh colour. A common use away from cooking is its use in creating playdough for children. Suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Non-Irradiated, Kosher Friendly, Halal Friendly.
